When choosing classes, it is important to know which class you want and the rules for each.

-PRO classes- bikes with extended swingarms. Divided by engine size.

-A rider can sign up multiple bikes in multiple classes as long as the classes are either Stock or pro

What you need to do before the day of the event:

     Mount a tether kill switch.

All bikes will be tech inspected before the hillclimb starts to ensure the tether kill switch effectively and reliably shuts down the engine. This is for the safety of the rider, hill crew, and spectators. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Sign up for the AMA AND District 16.

The AMA provides our event insurance every year, so each rider must be an AMA member. The hillclimb takes part in the AMA’s District 16 competition so each rider must be a member of that as well. Daily membership forms will be available at signup, but signing up before will save time.

     Gather appropriate gear.

All riders will be required to wear Helmet, Over the ankle boots, long sleeves and pants. Bring tape to secure your supplied number to your motorcycle.

The day of the event:

     Arrive early.

The pit gate will be open at 8am. Sign up is at the base of the hill and will start around 9:30 and end at 11:30.

Riders under the age of 18 will need a release form signed by BOTH guardians, unless the rider already has an AMA yearly minor release card.

Bring cash. Riders will need to pay for general admission($10), pit pass($5), as well as each class they wish to enter. The cost to enter stock classes is $30. The cost of pro is $50

After signup, attach your number to your motorcycle, and then proceed to tech inspection.

Before the hillclimb starts, there will be a mandatory riders meeting at the base of the hill.

Each class will get two runs at the hill. Best run is what will be scored.

Further rules to be aware of:

  1. There is zero alcohol allowed in the pits before or during the hillclimb.
  2. No pets
  3. No pit bikes! - riding in the pits is limited to walking speed only, to/from the hill or tech inspection.
